Through its choice of sponsors, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles organises a host of industry-linked experiments, related to tasting and marketing, concurrently with the tasting sessions. With over 7,000 wines and spirits to hand, the event provides a representative cross section of global wine production.

Novel experiments have also been conducted in conjunction with the creator of wine tasting glasses, Spiegelau, and the mineral water producer Acqua Panna. In an entirely different field, the competition has for several years been conducting research into changes in closures and the decline in cork taint in wines, in collaboration with cork manufacturer Amorim. Avery Dennison, a company currently expanding its wine and spirits bottle labelling business, will address marketing and livery aspects at forthcoming competitions.
