109 Bulgarian wines awarded in Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) in 2016, were presented during two tastings on June 15 and 16 in The Hague and Bruxelles. Fourteen wineries used the opportunity to show their silver, gold and grand-gold winners to diplomats, journalists, wine industry experts and buyers from Belgium and the Netherlands.

All together 50 Bulgarian wineries have been distinguished at CMB in 2016. 45% of the awards for Bulgaria are gold medals, which is a precedent in the CMB’s over 20 years of background. „Bulgaria’s success is greater than that of popular wine producing countries”, Christophe Sepulveda of Probegex noted. „Bulgaria has shown that it has huge potential. Key is what the country will do with that potential in the future”, he added.

The events were organised by the CMB, its official partner for Bulgaria Probegex, and in cooperation with the Embassies of Bulgaria in Bruxelles and The Hague.
